Polluted In Our Own Blood
It is the Holy Spirit that draws a person. You have planted a seed. Some one will come along and water it, and God will give the increase. Jesus did not expect everyone to come to Him. Why? He knew men's hearts. He told us to proclaim His Word and that is what we do as Christians. He said if He is lifted up from the earth He would draw all men unto Him.
He said no longer are we called as servants to Him but He also called us friends. He wants relationship with us, not a just servant master type deal. Yes we bow before Him and see Him as the King of kings and the Lord of lords. But we can also go to Him and talk to Him like He is our best friend. For He said He sticks closer to us than any brother.
He is ever listening for our call. He is there to help us when we fall. He is our help in a very present trouble. He will be our Shield and Buckler. He has cut covenant with us. We have an everlasting covenant. If we come to Him, we won't be turned away. We can call him Daddy and we can call Him Father.
He is Merciful and Gracious and full of Goodness. He loves us more than we can comprehend. It is a love so great that words cannot express.
Yet He tells us "On the day of your birth your navel cord was not cut nor were you washed in water to cleanse you. You were not pitied and no one had compassion on you, you were thrown into the field on the trash heap, you were hated the day you were born. And when I passed by and saw you struggling in your own blood, I said to you in your blood Live! Live! I swore an oath to you and entered into covenant with you and you became Mine, says the Lord. Then I washed you with water and cleansed off the blood, anointed you with oil, clothed you with the finest linen and silk, and the most costly of jewels. You were exceedingly beautiful and succeeded to royalty."
Ezekiel 16:1-14.
This is what the Father offers us. This is how much He cares about us. But the children of Israel played the harlot and turned away from Him even after He had done all of that for them. Because of their sins He allowed destruction to come upon them.
However and there is always a however with Him. He said that He was married to the backslider. He was always willing to give another chance. That is still what He does today. He said "He would that NONE would perish. Remember He is ever waiting to hear our call. If we run to Him, He will catch us with open arms.
